She's smiling!

Arlington has finally figured out that camera in hand means smile on face! And this has made her mom very happy! So I thought I would share a few of my favorites.

Arli's favorite outfit ( and probably her mom's too!)

I had to throw this one in, she's obviously not smiling but this is probably her favorite expression. I'm not exactly sure what she disapproves of in this picture, but it's definitely something! ( Maybe she's just plain sick of mom taking pictures!)

Probably my most favorite treat...

Well, ONE of my most favorite treats is the chocolate chip cookie! (I know I should say that my favorite treat is fruit but you would all know that I was definitely lying!) I have searched high and low for the best chocolate chip cookie recipe and at last I feel that I have found it! (However, Ashley your recipe is a close runner up:)) Ashley decided for a play group that we should all make and bring our favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe to share, so the night before I whipped up a batch and they were so beautiful, it almost brought tears to my eyes! So I had to take a picture to capture the moment!

For any of you that find your mouth watering just looking at this picture, I've decided to share this wonderful recipe with you! ( And for those of you that do have it, I hope you've enjoyed them!)

Chocolate Chip Cookies

1 pound butter/margarine
4 Tablespoons vanilla
3 beaten eggs
2 Tablespoons baking soda
2 cups chopped walnuts (optional)
2 cups brown sugar
1 1/2 cups white sugar
6 cups flour
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
4 cups chocolate chips
(This recipe makes a lot of cookies, so I usually half it)
ENJOY!

Our little puppy

Since Arlington started crawling she loves to put whatever she happens to be playing with in her mouth while she crawls from room to room, her favorite is this mini etch-a-sketch key ring! So it's kind of like we have a little pet around the house.

She doesn't even like to play with this, she just picks it up and carries it in her mouth!

Obviously, she's not too particular about what she carries in her mouth. As long as she can grip it with her teeth, she's ready to go!

Easter

We had a pretty quiet Easter Sunday, Arlington is still too small to really enjoy the holiday's. But we still had a good time, we spent the afternoon at Marcus's parents home.

Arli checking out the goods in her Easter basket.

The eggs were the only things in her basket that she was actually interested in, I don't know why we spend money on toys, we could just buy her a bag of plastic eggs and she would be happy!

And then she spotted the candy!(fortunately she wasn't too interested in it, yet!)

She had a pretty easy time finding her easter basket at Grandma and Grandpa Clawson's house.

And as you can tell, she was also very excited to receive her easter gift from Grandma and Grandpa Coleman!

Thanksgiving Point

Both of my girls are asleep right now so I thought I would take this chance to post a entry. I haven't done this yet as the commander and chief of our home violently limits posting rights to her fingers alone. In fact I will probably suffer terribly for going behind her back like this. So enjoy my friends as you partake of this forbidden fruit :)

Arli reluctantly checking out some of the farm animals. Maybe in a year or two this will be more exciting for her.

Pointing at the animals from a safe distance.

Riding the metal sheep. Giddiup!

Taking a break for lunch.

All that crazy excitement wore us all out. Arli couldn't even finish her peas.

Another Birthday Celebration!

While we listened to the afternoon session of Conference we were able to enjoy a birthday dinner for Marcus's younger brother Chaison. Happy 21st Birthday Chase! We love you! We had a great time hanging out with all of the family!

The birthday boy and his girlfriend Jessica.

Tim and Marcus enjoying the conference talks.

The beautiful pregnant Brynn ( Now Brynn, don't be mad that I put this picture on my blog, you look great!)

Ryleigh and her dad Jeff, Ryleigh didn't want to smile for the camera. I know another little girl like that, it must be a cousin thing!
Averee and Pauline, Averee loves to be just like her older brother Marcus and give her best smile for the camera!

Arli and Ryleigh. These two are the only grandkids(brynn is expecting a little boy in just a few more weeks) on the Clawson side and I love how good Ryleigh is with Arli! She is so patient and loving! Arli used to love to pull on Ryleigh's blonde little curls, and Ryleigh would just gently say "no,no Arliiiiiiiington( that's how Ryleigh says Arli's name). You can't tell in a few of these pictures how much Arli also love her cousin Ryleigh, but she had just woken up from her afternoon nap and it sometimes takes her a few minutes to warm up. But she really does love when Ryleigh comes for a visit!

Still warming up!

I asked for a smile, and this is what I got!

"Arli, just clap.........see, like this!"

"Here, I better help you!"
